Three stars are not for the quality. The craftsmanship is genuinely impeccable, and the packaging is thoughtful and protective. My issue is not with the product itself – and not even with responsiveness, since they did reply – but with the lack of solutions for international customers.
With the tariffs involved, they simply should not ship internationally if they are not prepared for international returns. Asking me to pay half the price of the bag just to send it back is unreasonable. Brands like LilySilk, Bloomingdale’s, Farfetch, and Nordstrom manage this by having small distribution hubs around the world, which makes both shipping and returns feasible.
Because I could not cancel the order, I ended up with a bag that matches none of my clothes, and to avoid creating waste, I felt pushed to donate it to charity since I couldn’t use it. And I know I’m not alone – there are plenty of other people stuck with items they can’t return because of the shipping cost.
To be absolutely clear – the quality is superb. But the company has no viable system for international returns, and that needs to change. This was meant to be my 40th birthday present, and now I can’t afford anything else, so I’m left with regret instead of joy. A simple colour exchange would have solved everything.
The leather is supple, the shape is beautiful, and the interior design is satisfying. The bag itself is extremely versatile, easily going from day to night with the top handle. But… food for thought for…
